The Washington County Historian’s Office is located on the first floor of Building “A” in the Washington County Municipal Center, in back of the County Clerk’s Record room.  The office is open for research on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The research material is available through volunteers who are knowledgeable in genealogical and historical searches.  There is no charge for in-person research.

Researchers can request a search of records to be done by sending a request through the mail.  To order, send a written request detailing the information you are seeking, a Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope and a non-refundable $15.00 check or money order made payable to the “Washington County Treasurer”.
