is accessible to all youth/ adults to skate in Fort Edward/ Hudson
Falls/ Kingsbury area. |

1. Community Support
2. Adult/Youth Volunteer’s to champion the
cause
3. Committed youth/adults from Hudson Falls/
Kingsbury/ Fort Edward area willing to overcome obstacles,
fundraise and help build a park that is accepted by the
community.

Information you might not know... |
|
There are approximately
1,950
students in 4th to 12th grades in Fort Edward
and Hudson Falls that could benefit from having a safe skate
park in the community. |
|
Skateboarding is one of the fastest growing sports in the US.
There are about 13 million in the US and
16%
of them are between the age of
16-24.
The skateboarding industry
grows by 10%
each year. |
|
According to the US Government’s Consumer Product Safety
Commission, the odds of receiving an injury skateboarding is
lower
than that of boxing, biking, snowboarding, surfing,
skiing, hunting, football, cheerleading, soccer,
softball, baseball, volleyball or tennis |
|
Skateboarding is
not just for kids.
Skateboarding greats like Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen , are well
into their 30’s. It is one sport where both youth and adults can
participate as equals and share experiences. |
