Youth Bureau Collaboration Assets Coming Together for Youth www.actforyouth.net* ACT for Youth is a New York State initiative that strives to create the conditions for young people to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.  12 communities within NY State were chosen to lead this initiative which includes the Warren/Washington  Bi– County Collaboration for Community Change. The lead Agency for this collaboration  is the Washington County Equal Opportunity Council. However the Warren and Washington County Youth Bureaus and the Warren and Washington County Cooperative Extension are invested partners in this initiative along with several other community organizations, individuals, youth and schools. ACT for Youth Collaborations strive to create environments in which youth are Healthy and safe Valued and connected Engaged in positive opportunities Respected partners in decision making Active citizens Bi-County ACT for Youth Collaboration for Community Change (CCC) The CCC is a collaboration of various organizations, business people, local officials, youth and other concerned citizens in Washington and Warren County who are committed to the following goals: Increase youth engagement and youth voice   Increase opportunities and supports for young people Promote organizational changes that reflect positive youth development principles Promote policy changes that reflect positive youth development principles 1st year (2008) Spotlight communities: Fort Ann and Warrensburg  2nd year (2009) Spotlight communities: Argyle and Lake George   *Links to external sites are provided as a convenience.  Washington County has no control over the format or content of any information found on any external site.
