Luzerne woman arrested after Argyle accident


According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Luzerne woman following an accident investigation. 

Elieen M. Mangan, 25, of Lake Luzerne, was charged with aggravated DWI, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the 1st degree, a felony. Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a property damage motor vehilce accident on West Rd in the Town of Argyle. Mangan failed to make a turn and drove off the roadway into a culvert, causing extensive damage to her 2011 Chevrolet Cruze.

Deputies  interviewed  Mangan and  it was determined she had been consuming alcoholic beverages. Mangan was administered sobreity excersises, and was found to be intoxicated. She was transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward where she was processed and tested .19% blood alcohol content. 

It was also found that Mangan’s drivers license had been previously suspended for a prior DWI. Mangan was held and is awaiting arraignment.
